MLPOA Privacy Policy


The MLPOA supports and abides by the requirement of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Data Act (PIPEDA).  We only collect personal data that you provide voluntarily, using fair and lawful means, and we only use it for the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. The MLPOA is supportive of the idea of the right of individuals to inspect their data as it appears in MLPOA's lists and have it corrected if found in error or lacking in completeness.

The MLPOA does not sell, lease, rent out nor lend out information lists containing personal information without prior permission of the individuals on the list. Members may manage their individual opt-in or opt-out of such lists via our website.

The MLPOA may share aggregate information about its members - not individual data - with sponsors, potential sponsors and other parties to help them better understand MLPOA members and their interests. Such aggregate information is used to give the MLPOA demographic data about its members in order to improve the organization and the programs and services we provide.

The information you provide to the MLPOA - such as your name, address, etc. - allows the MLPOA to inform you about events and activities and to notify you of issues, events or special offers which may be of interest to you. By becoming a member or by requesting information or registering for events or courses offered by the MLPOA, you are giving the MLPOA permission to contact you by way of the information you provide.
