The Mandate of the Moira Lake Property Owners Association is:

• To promote the welfare of the property owners on Moira Lake;
   
• To develop interest in future growth from a political, economic, social and esthetic standpoint;
   
• To endeavour to preserve the rights and privileges of its members and associate members;
   
• To promote the health of the lake, its waterways and shores for the benefit of all persons and indigenous wildlife.”

q       We have dedicated Board Members and Zone representatives who are committed and responsive to our members and non-members;

q       We maintain an active and informative Web Site;

q       We issue an annual Newsletter;

q       We resource information such as property insurance, weed harvesting and the lagoon system that treats waste water from the village of Madoc for which a YouTube video has been produced.

A Strong Corporate Citizen

q       We donate funds to the local Fire Department for direct benefit to our members;

q       We supported the Tri-Area Medical Centre;

q       We support local charities – i.e., Community Care for Central Hastings, Central Hastings Support Network, the Accessibility Program at the Madoc Skate Park, and many more;

q       We are a member of the Local Chamber of Commerce;

q       We support local initiatives such as the Kiwanis, the Lions Club, etc.

A Progressive Organization

q       We work actively to protect and enhance the Lake environment for the enjoyment of this and future generations;

q       We act to encourage wildlife habitat in all its aspects for posterity.

A Social Convener

q       We were the founder and the major sponsor of the Centre Hastings’ Annual Regatta operated by the Municipality;

q       We conduct an annual Charity Golf Tournament.
